As 2024 comes to an end and the holiday season approaches, one topic resonates deeply with us: Family. Family is a cornerstone of the Kingdom of God, and we feel privileged to serve Him full-time with our family by our side. As we minister to so many children from diverse backgrounds, our prayer is to be a steadfast example of a biblical family for them—a family that some may have never experienced. We strive to be part of their restoration process, showing them the unconditional love that only He knows how to give so perfectly.
A Butterfly Effect of Impact
- Brandon Davis -
Since June, Esperanza Viva has been hosting a series of short-term mission teams, with a new group arriving back to back from one another, to visit the children at the orphanage. This continuous flow of visitors from various parts of the United States has brought immense blessings to both the children and the staff.

Having so many teams has been so impactful, offering not just support but also the opportunity to forge meaningful connections with the kids in our care. These visitors play a crucial role in providing emotional and relational support for the children, who have experienced abandonment by their biological families. By stepping in as 'distant relatives,' they offer a sense of belonging and love that the children may have missed. When we are united by our faith and purpose in Christ, it creates a powerful environment for healing and restoration. A renewed sense of hope can be seen not only in the lives of our children, but also in the hearts of every single visitor that walks through our door, highlighting the transformative power of the work that Christ is doing every single day.
A Change In Ministry
- Ame Davis -
As of three weeks ago, a need arose at Nations School, as one of the main administrative staff members decided to move on to a new chapter in live. Because of this urgent need, I decided to step up and fill this spot in our school. This has been a huge change for me. I had been previously serving along side Brandon with our visiting Short-Term Mission teams. Now, I am being stretched and challenged in a new area that God has for me. It has been so rewarding working with our students and their families at the school and being able to see first hand how the Christ-Centered education is making an impact far beyond what we are able to physically perceive.
Current Needs and Prayer Requests
Recently, both our washer and dryer stopped working. The cost to repair them for just a few more months of use doesn’t seem worth it, and new machines that will last are about $1,000 each.
Over the past year, Ame has been the only one in our family with medical insurance. This has been an incredible blessing, especially during some challenging times. However, both Theo and I are currently uninsured. We’re praying that God continues to provide the support needed so we can afford the additional cost of medical insurance for all three of us, which is about $4,000 per year.
We feel called to be here long-term and continue praying that God will guide each necessary step for us to purchase land and build a home of our own. We're hopeful that in the coming year, we’ll be able to take this significant step of faith and deepen our commitment to the mission He has led us to serve.
As we approach the end of the year, I humbly invite you to consider becoming a part of this spiritual family to continue mission work here in Puebla, Mexico. Your generous contributions make a real difference and allow us to continue serving and loving on this community. If you feel led to give, know that any donations made to this cause are tax deductible. Thank you so much for your kindness and support!
Together we can love more, rescue more and impact so many more lives!
