A Family in Missions

Hello all! Wow, we are already coming to the end of 2023, and God has been so faithful. There has been a reacurring theme that He has been pushing on my heart lately, and I would love to share it with all of you. This theme is FAMILY.
Timothy 5:8, ¨if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.¨
This verse is very direct and that is why it is a great wake-up call for you and for me. To provide for our families FIRST. This is before we give to charity, before we go down the street and serve others, and before we leave the country to missions. Our family is our first ministry and it is SOOO important to nurture and spiritually fill yourself and your houshold before you plan to make any kind of impact in the world around you. I pray this word encourages you and your family as much as it has me and mine!
Speaking of family, here is the one God has blessed me with:
Blessings and Miracles
Since you are all family to us, we just wanted to share a couple of amazing God-things that have been happening in our lives and in the ministry!
1. As of last month, and thanks to many of you and your support and prayers, we were able to purchase a vehicle for our family! This is a huge blessing for us and will ease a lot of areas for us such as market runs, doctors appointments and most importantly, getting to and from the orphanage everyday!

2. Another incredible thing I want to share is that 6 of the older teen boys from the orphanage; Boys that I took care of for years, this semester have made the decision to take that next step in listening to God's voice. They are currently enrolled in our Bible institute where they will be for the next few months, diving deep into the word and growing even closer to God. I feel honored to have had a position of influence in there lives. This is why my family and I do what we do, to make a lasting impact on as many souls as we can for God's kingdom!

Looking to the Future
As our family continues to settle our roots into this country and mission, we are looking for a more permanent place to call home. For the past 2 years (since we have been married) we have rented. Up until this point it has worked well for us, but we are really looking to settle here and to be able to better pour into the mexican culture and communities we are surrounded by.
Please join us in prayer that God would be the one opening doors and opportunity for us to build a home that goes far beyond our family. Our heart for this home is to open our doors to so many souls that need fellowship and christ-centered community.
Prayer Requests:
Wife's allergies: Over the past couple of years my wife has suffered from chronic dermatitis caused by her unending list of alergies (dust, pollen, ash, corn, chicken, and more). Doctors appointments and medications have been a necessity in keeping it at bay, but we pray that she would be completely healed and that these allergens would have no further affect on her.
Medical insurance for whole family: Currently, my family is completely uninsured. We are currently not in a position to afford medical insurance, and we fear that between Ame's allergies and future growth of the family, this will become a bigger issue.
Wisdom for the future - Home: As previously mentioned, we have a dream of owning our own home here in Mexico in order to further connect and grow our roots in the community. We pray that God would give us the wisdom to know which route to take when making these big life decisions.
Year End
As the year is coming to an end, there are many individuals and businesses that look to make end-of-the-year donations for tax purposes. If you know of someone who (or if you yourself) would be interested in making a tax-deductible gift this year, it would be a huge blessing, not only to me and my family, but it will be multiplied in God's hands and invested in the ministry here in Mexico.
Living Hope International missionaries receive no salary as they serve and rely 100% on donations from ministry partners, friends and family.
